Guten Abend everyone! So as you can tell, I finally transformed the Cascade Travels blog into my own this afternoon. Even though I’m not doing anything or celebrating the holiday weekend, I figured to celebrate the “opening” of my own personal blog, I’ll answer some get to know me questions.
Did you attend prom?
I did! My date was my boyfriend at the time and the day of prom was our 9 months together. So it was extra special to us.

Beach or mountains?
Beach 100%. Maybe it’s because I grew up in the mountains and the idea of being by the beach sounds like relaxation to me. As what they say “the ocean is calling and I must go”.
Aside from English, what other languages can you speak?
I am fluent in American Sign Language, understand some Spanish (would love to review it again), and currently learning German. Thanks to DuoLingo, I can learn German quickly.
Who’s your celebrity crush(es)?
Ross Lynch and Chris Evans. Love them both. I actually met Ross Lynch over 5 years ago at a meet and greet with his band in Eugene OR. Comment if I should do a story post on that concert.
What’s your longest relationship so far?
It would have to be my very first relationship outside of high school. We became a couple on August 6, 2016, and we lasted until January 28, 2018. Why did we break up? I grew up, or I was growing into being a woman, and he remained a boy in his late teens (at the time). Let’s be honest, I have no idea why we lasted that long; maybe because of the simplicity of it.
What’s your favorite season?
This may sound cliché but fall is my favorite. It’s not because of the pumpkin spice lattes or the cozy sweaters, but because of the traditions. Football, Oktoberfest, school starting up again, etc. makes me nostalgic. Also the weather and falling leaves makes it perfect.
What are my phobias?
My irrational fears are of bees and heights. My bee-phobia is not as bad as it used to be when I was younger. When I was younger, when I would see a bee, I’d scream bloody murder and run. Now I just back up and just say “woah, hey” and if the bee is STILL around, I’d run. As for heights, It’s hard to say if it’s gotten better or worse. My biggest rational fear is not doing good enough or failure. As someone with perfectionist parents and a people pleaser, it’s a given.
Favorite TikTok video at the moment
Probably this one. I die laughing every time I watch it. Oh no, not the BIRDIE BOILER!!! 😂
Which platform do you use most often?
I used Facebook, Insta, and TikTok daily. In regards to posting, I use TikTok a lot, especially these days posting a lot of Ellisa content (keep an eye out for a fanfic about her, she’s one of my favorite characters).
Favorite biblical verse
“‘I know the plans I have for you’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope'” Jeremiah 29:11.
This is the very first verse I found during my faith journey. In fact, on the day of my baptism, I wore the bracelet that my mother gave me which has the verse. This verse is very soothing for me to know that during tough times, God has a plan for me at the end of a dark tunnel.
Which celebrity do you wish to be related to?
NGL, Zac Efron. I had the biggest crush on him in grade school and now, I admire him as an actor instead of a teen heartthrob. Why do I wish he would be related to me? We share almost the same features (dark brown hair and blue eyes) and his grandparents are from my hometown in Central Oregon. During 2 truths, one lie, I’d use “my cousin is Zac Efron” as a multiple choice answer for a lie.
Favorite movie
TITANIC!!!! That is my all-time favorite movie and Ellisa is a Titanic-based character I’ve come up with when I was in grade school. My favorite Disney movie is Treasure Planet, and I have another female fanfic character that belongs in that world.
What song(s) have you belt out when you’re alone?
Recently, it has been What do we do now by Spencer Crandall (sang that while taking a shower after my shift, before heading home) and Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis Presley (just sang it randomly at home over the weekend 🤪).
Do you have a celebrity lookalike?
For the longest time, I really didn’t think I have one until I saw a scrapbook photo of myself of when I was 16 and thought “I looked a lot like Princess Diana with that hair!” So now I’d like to think I’m the brunette version of the People’s Princess.
That is all folks!
I hope that gives y’all a sense of who I am as a person behind the screen. Overall I’m just a girl trying to live out her life like any Millennial Z’ers. Can’t wait to share more stories for you guys!
Tschüss!
