This entry marks the last entry for my 30 day blog challenge and boy was it a challenge! When I started, I had no idea how this will go and had no idea on the commitment I would make night by night. With this final entry I will be answering some questions and reflecting
What is the most challenging part of this challenge?
There are different parts that are challenging. Like I mentioned, I had no idea what I was getting into except this would be a fun thing to do for a month. The top two challenges were time and prompts. At the beginning, Brennan really helped out and then things kind of went rogue on finding prompts. Nothing wrong with me and Brennan, it’s almost like trying out something new and falling off the bandwagon due to mental forgetfulness. So I had find elsewhere to figure out what to write whether through different articles online or just what’s happening in my life. And time was tough due to life as well. Even though I have been posting it near midnight the day after the supposed date, that was not my intention. Like I said, life gets in the way and my mind goes in different places.
Which entry is your favorite?
Probably the ones that I put in alot of work and not just lagging in. The first, at least 3-5 entries, were really good because Brennan proposed those prompts. The travel tips one is another favorite as well as the entry talking about the Shanghai Tunnels in Portland. Stories about my past like when I was in swimming and when I was crowned homecoming princess were also really good. The homecoming entry really surprised me because it’s been almost 10 years and some parts of my memory have not resurfaced since then. The Veterans Day entry was really fun because it’s all about my family’s past and to talk about that in honor of that holiday. There are so many favorites as you can tell, it’s almost like picking a favorite child or a favorite song.
What were your peers reactions to the entries?
They absolutely love it, especially my mom and Brennan who are my closest people, the ones I contact everyday. I do post the entries on my Facebook page so my other friends would read it and they love it as well. There hasn’t been alot of responses like “change it” or “take it down”. They know that writing is one of my strengths and they have been really supportive, no matter how bad the entry comes out.
What went on outside the blogging?
Alot went on. At the beginning of this month, I was a caregiver at an assisted living facility. But due to pay and personal insecurities, I left. Now, I started working as a package handler at Fedex; aside from the muscle aches I am currently experiencing, I really enjoy it. Due to some scars from the drama last holiday season, Brennan and I encountered some road bumps but at the end of the day, we work it out and we love each other. At the beginning of the month, I was not a workout bum; now I look forward to working out 4 days a week. Especially on vacation when elevation will be harder! But life is just normal I guess, a few changes here and there but all is good.
Will you continue blogging daily?
Oh nooooo! But I will continue writing on this blog from time to time in regard to travels, advices, etc.. If I were to blog daily from now on, that would be full on commitment but I have other commitments in life. I have a job, I have my family, both blood and church, I am in love, and trying to better myself physically in anyway. But I’m not going anywhere, I’ll still be posting on here, so don’t fret.
